Presentation Night – Saturday 31st May 2025. Kenilworth Sports & Social Club.
Dear all, we would like to try and do something a bit different for presentation night this year.
We have booked both Ken Doherty and Matthew Stevens for the night.
The plan is to play frames of doubles with Ken and Matthew each partnering a different LDBSA player for each frame.
There will be 8 frames on the night.
1 frame will be the 2025 Tony Marsh pairs champions playing against Ken and Matthew.
1 frame will be the 2025 Ray Carter singles champion playing against either Ken or Matthew.
Which leaves 6 frames of doubles and we need 12 LDBSA players to participate in these frames.
We agreed at the meeting on Monday that we would draw these players randomly with the following criteria.
1. There will be 6 players from the Premier Division and 6 players from the A Division.
2. There will be no more than one player from each LDBSA team.
3. If somebody is drawn out as one of the 12 players and then goes on to win the Tony Marsh pairs or Ray Carter singles competition then they will be removed from the 12 players chosen and the Committee will make changes at their discretion.
We plan on doing the draw for the 12 players at the next Committee meeting on the 28th April.
Please tell your teams and let people know that if they would like to be in the draw to play on the night to message me on email or WhatsApp. Please message me by the 25th of April otherwise I cannot guarantee you will be in the draw.

We have received the following message from Paul Barnett......
Good evening Mike, following on from our conversation earlier, my father Tony Barnett, passed away on 10/02/25 , he was a former secretary of the league. would it be possible to post out to the league , for players who would have known / played with or against my father that his funeral will be at Oakley woods crematorium on the 18/03/25 at 10.00. followed by a wake at the Leamington Bowls Club , Victoria Park Leamington Spa
LDBSA Committee Meeting
The next LDBSA Committee meeting will be held on Monday 24th March at the Kenilworth Sports and Social Club. The meeting starts at 7.45pm and all LDBSA members are welcome to attend.
